The class in detail
For people doing their own wedding flowers
Plenty of our students arrive engaged and leave with a plan. We built this day around the questions real DIY couples ask: what can I actually make myself, what should I pay someone else to do, and how do I not end up wiring roses at 1am the night before?
You'll build a proper bridal bouquet in the morning, learn buttonholes and corsages after lunch, and finish with a costing session where we price your real wedding flower list — bring your Pinterest board and your venue details.
The honest version: DIY works brilliantly for bouquets and buttonholes. For big installs and ceremony arches, we usually tell people to hire help — or come to the installation class if you're determined.
- Runs: One Saturday a month, plus extra dates September–March (wedding season)
- Guarantee: Bouquet confidence guarantee — if your bouquet isn't photo-ready by day end, you stay until it is
- Bring a helper free: one support person can join the costing session at no charge.

Step by step
How the day runs
Palette & plan — 45 min
We map your wedding flowers on paper first: what you're making, what you're outsourcing, and what your colour palette actually costs in stems.
Bridal bouquet demo — 30 min
Theo builds a wedding-grade bouquet — tighter spiral, no gaps, wired focal flowers.
Your bridal bouquet — 2 hrs
Build yours properly, twice if needed. We photograph the final one so you have a reference for the real day.
Lunch — 30 min
Proper lunch, not a sad sandwich. Time to interrogate the tutors about your venue.
Buttonholes & corsages — 75 min
Small fiddly work: wiring, taping, magnets vs pins, and which flowers survive out of water all day.
Costing session — 45 min
We price your actual list using market rates, then build your week-of timeline: what to make when, and how to store it.
