Terms of Service

The rules of the bench — how bookings, payments, vouchers and class-day behaviour work. Written for humans, not lawyers.

In short

Book = hold a seat, pay = confirm it, be kind at the bench, and give us 72 hours notice if plans change.

1. Bookings & payment

An enquiry holds a tentative seat for 48 hours. A booking is confirmed when we send a payment link and it's paid — until then the seat can go to someone else if another enquiry lands first (we always warn you first, promise).

Prices are in NZD and include GST and all materials — the number on the page is the number you pay.
Payment links are secure; we never see your full card number.
If we cancel a class (tutor illness, low numbers under 4), you get a full refund or a free move — your pick.

2. Gift vouchers & passes

Vouchers and passes are valid 12 months from purchase, transferable (gift them, we don't mind), and can be used across any standard class. The wedding intensive needs a small top-up from a standard pass. Lost voucher codes can be reissued — we keep records.

3. Class day rules

Arrive 10 minutes early if you can — classes start on time because 11 other people planned their day around it.
Tools are sharp and we're serious about the safety demo. Follow it and everyone's fine.
Your creation goes home with you. Studio tools stay at the studio (the good secateurs are Amelia's personal pair, please don't test this).
Under-16s need an adult alongside; under-12s fit better in our school-holiday family sessions.

4. Private & corporate events

Private events are governed by the quote we send — headcount, format, catering, travel. The universal bits: 30% deposit locks the date, balance due a week out, and the cancellation ladder on our refunds page applies.

5. Content & intellectual property

The techniques we teach are yours to use forever — teach them, sell bouquets with them, we genuinely don't mind. The website content, photos and printed materials are ours; ask before reusing them commercially.

The spirit of the thing

Show up on time, be decent to the humans at your bench, tell us early if plans change — and we'll move mountains to make your class great. That's the deal in one sentence.
