Cookie Policy

The honest list of cookies this site uses — a handful that make it work, some anonymous counting, nothing that follows you around the internet.

In short

Essential cookies remember your choices; anonymous analytics tell us which pages get read. No advertising trackers, ever.

1. What cookies we use

Two kinds, and that's the entire pantry:

  • Essential cookies — remember your cookie-banner choice and keep forms working sensibly.
  • Anonymous analytics — page view counts so we know whether anyone reads the blog.

What we don't use: advertising trackers, social-media pixels, fingerprinting, anything that follows you off this site.

2. Essential cookies

  • fcw-cookie-ok — remembers you answered the cookie banner so it stops asking. Lasts 12 months.
  • Session storage — keeps multi-field forms sane while you fill them in. Gone when you close the tab.

3. Analytics

We count visits anonymously — which pages get read, how long people stick around, nothing tied to you personally. It helps us decide whether to write more flower-care guides or more wedding content (care guides are winning).

4. Your controls

  • The banner on our homepage offers 'all good' or 'essentials only' — both are real choices that do something.
  • Your browser can block or clear cookies entirely; the site still works, you just see the banner again.
  • The newsletter is the only thing that tracks opens — and only because the email platform counts them by default.

Questions about data go beyond cookies? The privacy policy covers the bigger picture, and the legal page covers GDPR rights.

No-cookie browsing

Block everything if you like — the site still works. The only thing you'll miss is the banner remembering you dismissed it.

No. No ad networks, no remarketing, no Meta pixel. The internet has enough of that.

Clear your browser cookies for this site and reload — the banner comes back and you can pick again.

No — form contents aren't stored in cookies at all. Session storage may hold a draft while you're on the page, and it's wiped when the tab closes.
