The class in detail
Flowers that outlive the lease
Dried work plays by different rules: no water to fuss over, a palette that's already decided, and arrangements that hold for a year or more. It's also weirdly forgiving for beginners — dried stems hold their position instead of flopping, so your hand gets to think.
Rosa runs this one from our drying wall — a floor-to-ceiling rack of stems we've dried in-house: strawflower, statice, bunny tails, palm spears, and whatever experiments survived the summer. You'll learn grouping, texture balance and the colour rules that keep dried work looking intentional rather than 'found in a shed'.
Fresh-flower fan? The bouquet class teaches the living version of the same composition skills.
- Runs: One Sunday afternoon + one Thursday evening per month
- Guarantee: Free reschedule up to 72 hours before class — see our refunds page
- Bring your own vessel if you have one you love — we have plenty if not.

What it costs
NZ$105 all in
Dried stems cost more than fresh per stem, but they're included — as is your vessel, tools, and a care card (dried flowers want dust, not water).
Pairs beautifully with the wreath class — dried wreaths are the studio's Christmas best-seller.
- Full access to the studio drying wall
- Vessel + mechanics (no foam, promise)
- Tools, aprons, coffee
- Your finished arrangement — lasts 12+ months
- Dried-flower care card
No payment at enquiry. We confirm your seat first.
